KUSSHH

UX/UI DESIGN, WEB DEVELOPMENT

A WEBSHOP FROM THE SILENCE OF ISLAND KRK

KuSshh is a premium cosmetics brand from Krk, specializing in natural and handcrafted products. The brand's identity was crafted by Veronika Uravić Čolak, an acclaimed designer and Red Dot winner based in Rijeka. Collaborating with her was not only an immense honor but also a rewarding experience, as her revisions played a vital role in refining the webshop I designed and developed.

CREATING A UNIQUE USER INTERFACE

Even from the start, the idea behind KuSshh was to create something funky, but still communicate the ideas behind "natural and homemade". One of the approaches to deliver such a feeling was creating an unconventional layout with unique components - but still maintaining a subtext of familiarity.

STYLEGUIDE DEVELOPMENT

During the design phase I carefully crafted a modular design system with complementary typography and colors adhering to the branding guidelines.

ANIMATIONS WITH GSAP

Even though Elementor has some interesting solutions for animations (and there is always CSS keyframes), I wanted to create something more advanced. So, using Greensocks ScrollTrigger plugin and Timeline capabilities, I created a unique custom animation having in mind all the information I’ve gathered about KuSshh throughout the design process - something funky and bold, while still preserving a lighter undertone by adding minimal transitions. The endresult was just what I was looking for - a smooth and interesting experience urging the user to engage with the scroll-induced animation and generate positive feelings of excitement.

AN AMBITIOUS PROJECT

KuSshh was an ambitious project from the moment it was conceived and some tasks required extensive research and a huge amount of extra work. But at the end of it all - it was worth it. Not just was the website a beautiful and engaging experience, but I also had plenty of opportunities to develop new skills.
